I'd like to see Kagawa start but I'm not so sure he will. Should be a couple of experienced players with the majority being from the academy.

LvG will let players rot in the reserves (Anderson, for example), and I imagine some players will be shown the door/loaned. Cleverley is being linked to a loan at Everton. I think if United got knocked out, it would just put more onus on Woodward to sign players ASAP.

LVG said he couldn't fulfill his wishes in a central midfield role. We all know that Kagawa is a 10 who thrives off of quick passing and movement so it was hardly a surprise he didn't look great in a deeper role, it's just not his game.

It's a shame about Shinji but he just doesn't offer the goal threat Mata does. His finishing and general composure has gone to shit since joining us. It will probably be best for his career if he went back to Germany.
