Wilmbledon is a small town in the south of London. Wimbledon FC used to be a premiership team (were nicknamed the crazy gang, Vinnie Jones, the now hollywood actor, used to play for them), they had financial trouble and disappeared for a short time, a lot of the fans with no team to support and nowhere to go followed what was left of the team and moved stadium to Milton Keynes, (a small town just on the southern tip of London) and were renamed MK Dons (Dons being the nickname of Wimbledon FC) ... years later a new team AFC Wimbledon were created in the same place as the old Wimbledon and NOW both teams have a big local rivalry .... funny story!
