Wow, what an unhinged individual. ITV didn't have a good angle live and I was off to play a game myself, so missed this. The commentator (prob ex 'Pool) was playing it down, saying that Chielini was pointing at nothing. Guess he wasn't.

This is the same man that claimed to not know who Santi Cazorla was mere days before we announced his signing. You cant take anything he says regarding transfers at face value

edit: and also claimed there was no truth to rumors of us signing Arteta days before he was signed and claimed we had no pre-contract agreement with Podolski when it was later revealed we did

They are known to be annoying to deal with they are just saving face trying to show they had no power to stop him leaving but arent a selling club and making Herrera look bad it should still be done tommrow through the buyout clause

Agree, just like it when other clubs get "Arsenaled" and made to wait. I think he's a good player, but not worth that let alone more. Having said that, it's not like I watch every Bilbao game, so I'm not the most qualified judge of his talents.
 
They are not annoying to deal with, on the contrary, is pretty simple: pay the clause. Its just money does little for them, any other club can sel a player a buy a similar one but with Athletic, any time a player leaves is a huge loss for them as they are limited to basque players and guys like Herrera, Javi Mart
