True.

But with 6 games left in the season and Liverpool never being this close to the title in like 20 years, the Kop are gonna be louder than ever!! and SAS are gonna be all up in their shit.

Gonna be one of the most intense title races for a long time.

Hey now, 08/09.

Fuck Macheda.

Bizarro weekend gonna get even note when altidore scores a hat trick tomorrow

We looked shit.

Told you assholes 5 threads ago Suarez and Sturridge were business, back when everyone was saying they were shit.

I think we really needed Willian instead of Lamela, but who knows.

beautiful game, Spurs will always be our bitches, normal service is resumed :P

Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling and Coutiniho have all been amazing this season, Gerrard deserves a special mention, he has adapted to the defensive midfield position so quickly it's scary, completely bossing every midfield he comes up against.

Oh and we're going to win the league!!! :icon_twis

should Coutinho be given a chance in the Brazilian squad for the WC? Instead of Willian, Hulk, Lucas or maybe even Oscar?

Kid been amazing this year.

I'm a diehard Roma fan, so I consider myself pretty knowledgeable regarding Erik Lamela.
First off, Baldini was a bag of fucking shit at Roma who made NUMEROUS terrible decisions, and Lamela will be a very good player (in years time, on a different team).

Back when Franco Baldini switched from Roma to Tottenham (in like less than 2 weeks flat or some shit) and he was talking immediately about Lamela, I was scratching my head massively.

Spurs literally don't even field a formation that has an appropriate position for Lamela. And alongside that, he's incredibly fragile both mentally and physically (so why the fuck do they think that can cut it immediately against the top level of EPL?).
Erik has a ton of talent, but he's young and inexperienced as hell, has had more than a few run-in's with teammates, and has long been accused of not training/caring at all mid-week if he knew he wasn't going to start the game.

Roma damn near had an 'untradable' tag attached to him... until Baldini threw so much goddam money at them they happily took it off and instead got the captain of the Dutch national team (with a lot of money left over).
That should have been warning sign number 1.

Swindling them of their money, now we are rumored to be getting Paulinho from them.
I'm starting to feel like Baldini is some kind of secret Roma agent who infiltrated Spurs haha.
Baldini is a terrible hack, and Lamela isn't suited for EPL at all in the very slightest (at least right now). This is just another terrible decision in a long line of terrible decisions for Franco.

Lamela did show sparks of real talent, but I think Levy and Baldini failed to realize that they needed to be buying players for this season, not one in 2 years. And if you're going to buy for the future, thinking you have a coach for the future, let the damn thing play out some.

Paulinho won bronze player of the confederations cup, but I haven't seen much from him. He's does everything ok, but nothing stands out. Sprays shots all over the end stands.

Siggy does not belong in a top half EPL side. Everything but his shot, is shit.

Unfortunately we've bought a bunch of players whose passion is not football. Paulinho almost quit his career at one point, Vertonghen has quit on this team and completely stopped giving real effort. While at the same time letting players like Holtby, who was all energy and passion leave. Same for Caulker. Capoue was immediately alienated by TS, for Bentelab, who looks promising.

Erikson is the business.

Anyway, I'm rambling. With all that said, I think one really class player who can make something out of nothing, brings us back into CL contention.

I've said it before. Spurs do have a great squad, they just need a good manager, thats it.

Never heard that stuff about Paulinho, thx. Surprising he almost quit, not exactly a positive mental attribute.
Ya I've been a fan of Erickson for a while now, so Spurs picking up him and Lamela sort of made me an insta-fan of them.
The over-paying for Lamela, firing the coach who wanted him, and subsequent performances have sort of dented my insta-fan status. Still hope for the best for them, I support any team that takes a swing with young talent. And who knows, maybe in another 2 years we will be talking about what a stud Lamela is, he certainly has the potential to become a dominant figure.

Some of his highlights on River Plate are straight-up astounding, FIFA like almost. Just blasting through everyone for the entire length of the field, crazy potential.

Cardona must be on death watch.

And I'm not liking West Ham coming with too much confidence. Also, Carroll keeping the exes curse rolling.

not on death watch but fuck we needed to win this. badly

We're going to have to make a Sky Bet Championship thread, so we can still communicate with Cardona about football.
