It's been a funny season, until Christmas, Arsenal were dominant, almost running away with the title, then Chelsea looked like they were gonna win, then Liverpool looked like the champions elect ... and now it seems that City have it in the bag, despite never really leading in 1st place for that long at all.

Crazy. Slow and steady wins the race, the premiership is a marathon and not a sprint.

I agree. But City had 2 games in hand for the biggest part of the season. Skewed the look of the table for the longest.

So now the season is all but over, let's do an analysis of our teams:

Man Utd

-Player of the year: Wayne Rooney (edges De Gea)
-Disappointment of the year: Michael Carrick (could have been anyone)
-Prospect of the year: Adnan Januzaj
-Ideal summer signings (3max): Mats Hummels,Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira
-Predicted finish next season: 3rd

DDG
Moyes
Januzaj
Kroos, Hummels, Javi Martinez (let me dream)
Second

Both the team i support and the city i live in are in League 2 for life expectancy, plus where i live is the worst in the country for binge drinking by a country mile haha. Understandable when you can get a treble and mixer for

Upsons tackle in the penalty box. You only arrived a month late !!!
worst timed tackle in history ,but he still disputes it.

sounds like giggs wants to carry on playing lol

He's still one of our better midfielders at 40 so why the hell not. It's more on an indictment on the sad state of our midfield than it is actual praise for him but nevertheless.

He's on 80K per week, right?

At this point, if he wants to play on, he should take minimum wage. No way he deserves 4million a year now.

Take him down to minimum wage and there's a decent chance his brother'll nip in and shag his missus. Is that the kind of thing to put a club legend through?

It's not like we are hard up is it? He's still done alright when called upon this year, if he still feels like he has something to offer then he should keep going.

If we get the right players in then it shouldn't matter anyway. Also I imagine a lot of this will depend on the new manager and how seriously Giggs wants to stay at United or Coach elsewhere. I think it's a conflict him being a player and a coach and he isn't qualified to have a serious influence.

If we go with LVG I hope he brings his own people in and Giggs stays as a player or goes elsewhere.

City linked with Ashley Cole.

Much better than Clichy

Cashley staying on dat money train

Not the most ambitious signing for Citeh at this point though. Suppose it could be a combination of the reduced CL squad size and the homegrown quotas, Citeh gonna be trying to snag English players this window?
