Their balance sheet that already had almost a billion poured into it since 08 racking up losses of over 550m? Unless penalties increase with each year's violation I wouldn't be surprised if City just eat the extra 50m loss every year. The owner's family fortune is worth almost half a trillion and he's worth like 17 billion all by himself. He could do this for a generation and only lose about 6% of his personal wealth

they have 3 years to pay the 50m fine

As I said I thought the fine counted towards City balance sheet when I posted that. But since it doesn't, it doesn't really matter

Suppose the only real punishment is their CL squad restrictions

Even if it did, it probably wouldnt matter to City unless the following year's fine was even bigger.

btw, found footage of City paying their fine already

Why not? I think he's better than Benzema.

Ronaldo- Suarez - Bale
While Suarez is the better striker if we look at them as inviduals but Benzema does play well with CR7 and Bale, you cant ignore that. Unless your name is Florentino Perez that is, hopefully Ancelotti and Zidane talk some sense into him :)

didn't you say the same about bale? suarez to rm confirmed

FA looking into introducing B teams in a new league between Lg2 & the Conference.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27289819

Ridiculous idea. Another shameless FA cashgrab, yet again completely disregarding fans of lower league clubs.

English 2nd tier(The Championship) gets more in terms of aggregate attendance over a season than the Top Tier in Italy and France (Serie A, La Liga).

League 2 (English Tier 4) gets a higher aggregate attendance than the Top Tier in Belgium, Portugal and ... quite laughably, Scotland.

FA are off their f'n rocker, the English pyramid is unlike all others, they'd just be degrading the entire system.

Dat collapse.

ROGERS for Manager of the Year!!!!:icon_lol:

What are the powers that be in football snorting these days?

So if City and PSG both get fined 50million, does that mean UEFA will just earn an extra 100million for nothing?

What happens to the money? New Chateau for Monsieur Platini?

How is the whole thing not illegal ala the Bosman rule?

I think the idea is to create toothless regulations that it make it look like you're enforcing financial fair play, but in reality the regulations do nothing to stop reckless spending.

That way you can placate the masses without angering the oil barons.

I remember when fergie said that man City would never win the title in his lifetime.

if you inject 2billion into west ham they would be winning the pl too

.....but what happens to the 100million they have 'earned' in fines? And why is it legal in the first place?

Whole thing just reeks of corruption.

Have asked UEFA what happens to the money from any FFP fines. "Still to be decided" is the answer.

lol. Why are all the sporting organizations around the world so corrupt? It's the same way here in the states.

Money should be allocated to the rest of the league. I know this is because of the CL but let's be real, UEFA is just looking for a cash grab
