We have also been champions of England more times that Man city, Spurs, and Chelsea :icon_chee

As for the whole points deduction, exactly how many points are they looking for. 3 points are in all likeness not be enough for any of those teams to go above Sunderland considering the fixtures left.

I guess they're just after hefty compensation. Considering the rules on the matter are farcical at best, and the powers wanted the matter quietly swept under the rug in the first place, they must figure they can make a few bob in a settlement. A sweetener on dem parachute payments

Watching the highlights, hope we pick up Lloris. Or the Cardiff guy.

Lol, no chance Levy sells to Arsenal for anything less than an astronomical fee, which they would never be willing to pay.

If he goes, he's going to a top club.

^ lol. Can't wait to hopefully go on rawk when City win the league. The Stevie Me photoshops will be out in full force again

Fairly long Ramsey article, quite a good read:
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/03/aaron-ramsey-arsenal

A few lines from it:

when the conversation turns to Piers Morgan and whether the Welshman has ever bumped into the man who described him as "a complete and utter liability" 18 months ago. After a long pause Ramsey replies: "Who's Piers Morgan?"

When Ramsey was fighting the mental demons that followed his comeback from fracturing his fibula and tibia at Stoke four years ago, and the naysayers, including some Arsenal fans, were losing patience, Wenger stayed loyal and was remarkably supportive. "The manager had loads of chats with me about it and always said: 'Never let it get to you, because I know what you can do,'" Ramsey says. "I'm grateful for what he's done for me and for the faith that he's had in me.

"Even when I was injured he gave me a new contract. Through the criticism he played me. He's always believed in me and I can't thank him enough for that. I owe a lot to him and hopefully I've delivered some of that back this season."

At the same time he could be forgiven for occasionally glancing in the direction of his Wales team-mate Gareth Bale, who is flourishing in Spain, and wondering about the possibility of playing overseas, for a club such as Real Madrid or Barcelona, at some point in his career. "I have unfinished business at Arsenal first but maybe one day, when the time is right, I'd fancy that," Ramsey says. "One of those two teams is quite mouthwatering."

Fuck off Barca/Real lol

4th place motherfuckers!

lol, awesome!

Everton need to know their place!

Liverpool are gonna have to try and score big at Crystal Palace, if SAS score like a 7-0 or something. Theey need to do something drastic, can't see City slipping up now.

Thing is about the premier league is that basically the clubs run that league. The rules are setup in conjuction with the clubs. Its different to the other leagues where the clubs are told the rules and have to adhere to them.

The premier league is a different beast, and rightly or wrongly, the clubs help decide the rules and they have a lot more leeway.

Now if its a clearcut case like Tevez, or if the player had never been registered at the club at all it would have been a different matter.

Part of the problem is the Premier league clubs want to protect themselves, and have left a lot of the rules open to interpretation and give themselves a way out ( in this case the fact that the player was already contracted to the club, and was returning from loan so it was not a clear cut case of a non registered player )

Now the clubs agree to this before the season, The reason Sunderland were not deducted points is because the rest of the premier league clubs do not want to get caught out with small admin errors so have nothing in place to punish them for this ( so a fine was TBH the only real option based on the current PL rules )

As has been reported, the 3 teams below Sunderland do not have a real leg to stand on, as they agreed to this. Apparently the rest of the league are a bit a bit annoyed that they are trying to break ranks.

Is it right, even as a Sunderland fan I would have thought that a point deduction was likely, but it could not be enforced due to the specific nature of the rule breaking and as unfair as it may seem Cardiff, Norwich, and Fulham all agreed to the current agreements.

Just like to say to Kevin Phillips, a big thank you from a Sunderland fans

Retiring at the end of the season and is a true Sunderland legend, and his partnership with Niall quinn ( AKA the mighty Quinn, AKA Quinninho ) will never be forgotton. They were great times.

Guy scored 130 goals in around 230 games for us. His first season in the premier league had pundits like Rodney marsh predicting he was not good enough to reach 10 goals. That season he scored 30 goals and won the Eureopean Golden boot and is still the only Englishman to do so.

Too loyal for his own good at times and turned down possible moves to spurs and arsenal when maybe he should have went.

please take a look

and can't do phillips without the Mighty Niall Quinn. Used to love it at games when thousands of Mackems would sing this

all managed by Peter reid
