2005 Fedor>>> Jon Jones

also lol @ the projection of delusional fanboyism. your entire account is dedicated to delicately cradling fedor’s nutsack and you just wrote a fucking essay about him lmfaoooo

Bringing up fights from 2011 to describe how good a fighter was in 2005. By your metrics McGregor is the same guy today that he was when he KOd Aldo.

Low integrity and low iq

Conor would ko Aldo in 2023 kid!

Funny how one eyed Goro beat Tim 40 fights into his career.

The same Tim who smashed Ricco.
A Tim who failed a PED test immediately afterward.
I do not disagree with most of your points, but there are some things that I think you leave out of the conversation. Jones is a cocky prick, and tries to beat fighters in their own game and doesn't train like he should. Both of those were factors with Gus. If he fought Gus like he fought Machida, it would have looked different.
I would also argue that the Jones was not a hungry fighter (he lost the eye of the tiger, if you will) when he fought Gus, Santos, and Reyes. I base this on how he performed in the second fight with DC and Gus, which was between these fights. He was fighting better competition (DC) and felt like he had something to prove (Gus and DC).
With that said, I do think 2005 Fedor would light up Jones and most likely win. But it would be a close fight and the toughest opponent either of them would ever face.

DC knocked Jon's mouthpiece out of his mouth and landed several flush shots. If DC can do this, you have to believe Fedor could do the same. Fedor is faster, hits harder and is a much more skilled striker than DC.

I will say though, DC still hits very hard and Jones took some of those punches like a champ. Jones has shown a good chin many times over his career but he was extremely durable that night against DC.(2nd fight) Of course, he was extremely juiced and tested positive for that fight.

I think Fedor would throw heat at Jones and force Jones to look for a takedown. Jones prefers the clinch but it's going to be hard to take down a former Russian National Judo team member and a 4x World Sambo Champ. Jones' best bet would be to shoot for the legs.

I think Jones would be able to take Fedor down once or twice but I think Fedor could get back to his feet and land bombs. If Reyes, Gustaffson, DC and double bad knees Thiago Santos could land on Jones the way they did, I think Fedor lands his shots and KO's Jones.

I think if Jones can keep him next to cage, it would be dangerous for Fedor. Jones has good knees and elbows, while Fedor did not throw them to often preferring to be in Fedor-Bomb range.
