1. Why did he not test him for drugs or alcohol. Sorry guys, maybe he was sober, but he surely didn't look or talk like it.

2. Is it possible to talk to a US cop like that without being arrested? "Pig", "Despicable", "effin liar".

Anyone that knows about law... Did Jones really have to sign the tickets? Or could he have said I'm signing them under duress? Cause the officer did say... U gotta sign them or u will go to jail. Sounded like a threat to me.

1) Guess the cop didn't suspect he was drinking

2) That's the sad state of affairs we live in right now. I identify as more liberal than some of my conservative friends, but even I can admit it's bullshit how all cops are villianized here.

In most places refusal to sign a ticket is an arrestable offense. Just depends on the jurisdiction. It isn't admitting guilt, it is agreeing to appear in court (if you don't handle it prior).

I'd have to look up the specifics but it basically works under the same principle as bond. And by not signing you are basically saying you won't promise to appear so they can arrest you to ensure you do.

Fair enough.. Thanks bro

1) He had an interlock in his car, which is a breathalyzer that only turns on the car if he's sober.

2) Freedom of speech

As long as you don't threaten the cop you can legally call them any name in the book. You do so at your own risk though since most cops would have done more than just give him tickets. I'd put money that if that cop hadn't have been wearing a body camera, Jones would have spent the night in jail at best.

People don't realize if you actually talk normal and admit what you did to cops, they are likely to let you off. If you are going 20 plus and try to BS the cop, you are getting a ticket. If you tell the truth, they will probably lower the ticket or give you a warning. People just hate admitting they are terrible drivers.

1. Should have tested him
2. Only if he would have raised his voice, would he have been in violation of law.

You can curse at cops, as long as you dont cause a "public disturbance"

If that cop said anything more insulting than "the feeling is mutual" there would be people on twitter calling for him to be fired.

1. Jones has an IID and he showed it to the officer. Clearly he hadn't been drinking. And the cop can't just whimsically test him for illegal drugs without probable cause.

2. Jones has no legal obligation to be "polite" to a police officer.

1. Probably to focused on covering his own ass while he has a camera on his chest. (The media loves white cop, black suspect scenarios)

2. Everything is negotiable when you have god, I mean money.

He had an interlock in his vehicle, the cop asked about it.

I'm fucking SHOCKED he got away with his behavior and only got 5 tickets. He should be on thin ice with some of his previous transgressions. I feel like Cormier might be onto something when he goes on and on about how Jones hasn't changed and probably will never.

Call me crazy but I am of the minority who thought that cop seemed to be in the wrong. Obviously we didn't see what happened, but how can you get a ticket for street racing and not speeding? That seems suspect?

Firing might be a bit much but he would have to be disciplined. If some asshole decides to shit on a cop car and the cop shits on his car in retaliation, I hope that cop is fired. He's supposed to be a pubic servant and police the community not get into tit for tat wars with angry or unstable civilians. If he's not threatened physically he should maintain the highest order of civility possible. Good on him. He did a decent job overall.

^^^Definitely not a cop.

Cue arrival of Sherdog's legal department, Stormfront representatives, civil rights activists, and morons generally.
