2 hammer fists=stop the fight?

Kind of confused on why that fight was stopped, he took more initial hits when he fell on the floor then when the fight was stopped... I mean i did not see anything vicious there that should of lead anyone to believe that Jeremy could not continue, i mean body shot takes time to recover, but Aldo was not landing anything crazy there and even DC announced that Jeremy was defending himself, holding 1 of Aldos hands.., so this stoppage was very odd, i could understand if it was stopped right away, but the way this transpired and the 2 hammer fists that seemed weak should not have stopped this fight, pretty strange by the ref.

DC than says when Stephens turned over it was the right call, it was bad enough his liver caved in, why continue to let him take unnecessary damage, his body's fucked, at least let him save his head.
