2,000 kick/knee/punch workout?

2000 kicks is ridiculous, they were probably shitty or its just a bullshit story.

Start off with 100 kicks/knees/teeps at the end and add 10-20 each session.

Apparently John Wayne Parr worked upto 1000 before his fight with Yod but I dunno if he did that regularly. I can imagine it gives you massive soreness if youre doing 1000 straight knees.
 
lol... I remember having to do 200 full force roundhouses on each leg when I'd been training like a month... that was painful.
 
can the trainer do it, ask him to demonstrate. i bet he cant. I bet he cant even do the round house kick properly. I bet he cant even count to 2000, thats how many times he plays with himself i think.
 
That sounds like hyperbole. I have my guys and gals throw a lot of punches but 2000 is not reasonable.
 
it is mental. you will not get there in the time limit but the point is to try. Even if you know you won't reach it you just keep going.

We used to do a "special training" weekend at a university in MA. The master instructor was a crazy Japanese guy. He had us do thousands of everything. Punches, squat kicks, push-ups, sit-ups, forms, bunny hop two miles, run eight miles. We did 1000 front-kicks from a front stance with someone on your shoulders. The instructor took people car keys so they couldn't leave. He caught someone sneaking out and beat them. It was old school. We slept had eight-ten hours of rest over two days. It took everything. It was meant to be six months of karate in a weekend.

When you were done , you felt super fast and mentally strong.
 
I do 2000 punch pure output drills alot. I call them Calzaghe's after watching Joe do this for his preperation for Kessler. Heard it drasitcally helps with output and being able to reach output goals. Get's you tired as all hell too.
 
Sounds like yet another instructor off on a kung-fu power trip. I would only expect a seasoned pro to even attempt it, never mind forcing hobbyists to try.

Stupid learning curve for the fail.
