16 Greatest HW’s of all time

That’s literally an opinion.

You don’t know the difference between a fact and an opinion.

Fedor lost 3 times in a row, all by stoppage when was just 33-34 years old. That’s a example of a fact.

Im a little confused on Werdum.
Was Cain unranked when Werdum choked him?
He wasn’t ranked by FightMatrix due to inactivity. He was #1 before though. I have solve how to add points for that. Maybe 5 points instead of 10 due to long lay off?

Yea you know what else is a fact? Only a moron or a troll would suggest that athletes are still in their prime at 35-40 years old because a handful out of hundreds of thousands of them have reached the top. Would you say Sugar Ray Leanard was still in his prime when he couldn't win a fight after 33? Smh delusional fool.

I thought he was the champion (although inactive) and Werdum was interim so it was champ vs champ

You’ve been provided an actual, historical ranking—by me—showing that Hunt was ranked at the time he fought Fedor, and yet you persist in claiming he was not ranked.

Yet, you didn't provide this actual ranking in your reply? Weird. Did you find him ranked on one obscure site and are discarding the multiple widely accepted, credible, and accurate rankings? Hmmm

@acannxr made a thread a while ago ranking best HW’s in the world by the number of top10 wins based on FightMatrix.

https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...st-top-10-ranked-wins-at-heavyweight.4148848/

Thank you for your research @acannrx, I’ll use your thread as a base, although your approach is a bit flawed, because beating #10 guy isn’t the same as beating the #1 guy. So a better system would be a point based system. A win over #1 guy equals 10 points and a win over #10 guy equals 1 point. So let’s begin:

#16 Mirko Filipovic

Like @acannxr, I only used UFC/Pride champions for this list. This is the most objective unbiased system I’ve could come up with!

EDIT: Alistair Overeem added to the list
Strong work!

Um, no.
I googled “MMA Ranking December 2006” and literally clicked the first thing that came up (that wasn’t Fight Matrix).

But we both know it won’t matter, you’ve been repeating the same nonsense about Fedor and his ranked opponents in every Fedor thread you post in, regardless of how many times you’ve been corrected and shown otherwise.
Carry on.

So, one obscure blog posted by a fan then? Heard.

Don't have a problem with the system, just some of the rankings. Pretty sure both Sylvia and Arlovski were in the top 5 when Fedor fought them, which would then put Fedor at number 1.

The Sylvia ranking by FightMatrix is especially bad.

putting stipe over fedor is UFC propaganda.

That’s what the red font is. You can click on my post right where it says “MMA Weekly.”

Ok, cool. Now we're getting somewhere. Sept 12th 2006 he was listed as #10. Didn't the OP have him as #8? Where was he ranked in their next update on Sept 26th? Better yet, where was he ranked when they fought on December 31st 2006?

You can't be selective, Bbroe, you have to be precise.

You know as well as I do it can be a real bitch to find some of those old historical rankings, but I suppose either of us could try and dig them up. The OP used Fight Matrix generated historical rankings. Those can be questionable from time to time. But considering the fact that Hunt was ranked after the Barnett fight, and Fedor was his next fight, it seems pretty reasonable to call him a ranked opponent.
