The liberals believe it is the West that is responsible for how Muslims behave. Muslims sure have a strange way of showing their anger towards the West. I am not sure what brutalizing women, executing homosexuals and killing people of different religious groups has to do with resentment towards the West.

This is pretty unrealistic, too. A guy sexually assaulted a woman in Sweden--raped her by their definition--and he simply got deported and banned from entering for 5 years. Not even a permanent ban. When they won't even bar convicted rapists from entering their countries permanently, don't expect them to extend guilt and punishment to family members of criminals. Expect instead calls for understanding, tolerance and love. Expect warnings against getting angry and judgmental over this.

That rape and general misogyny is much more prevalent in the Middle East and it is expected for them to at least in part bring their culture to the West. Also that equivocating this new progressive idea of "rape" and "sexual harassment" to actual rape and sexual harassment does a huge disservice to real victims. False equivocation is a staple in these Muslim/West culture debates. That's my point.

EDIT: It is not a double standard by any stretch of the word. What progressives try to classify as rape and sexual harassment in the West is not in any way rape or sexual harassment. That's why you get a backlash in the West to these new feminist ideas. And I'll repeat this point again, it does a huge disservice to real victims.
