BIg nog put on some xtra lbs and was able to drop opponents. He dropped Mir,Schaub and Herman at that time.

Really though I think the big issue is he was suddenly fighting more hittable fighters who were way more chinny than the guys he faced in Pride. We tend to focus on guys like Fujita. Hunt or Nog himself as having ultra chins but really someone like Barnett or Herring were also really tough.

It stands out for example I think that Nog could drop Werdum multiple times in Pride, Werdum isnt considered chinny at all but I think his chin is worse than Barnett, Herring or Coleman who Nog landed significant punishment on.

Top guys who were easy to hurt in Pride really were very rare indeed, almost all of them had either great defence and/or great chins.

Never really thought about it like that,but could be.
