Maybe it must scored out of 30 the last round was at least 20-10 for Romero

It can work, but the commissions employ the same idiotic judges for every event. That's the problem.

As soon as I see that Sal D'Amato is judging a fight, I expect it to be a shit show, and its that way with the majority of the judges.

yea, its amazing that getting rocked and knocked down isnt a 10-8

It can work?man UFC is 25 years old and still judging sucks so hard

the problem isn't the rules. it's the judges, we've had alternate scoring systems discussed before, just because a score with a greater margin is possible doesn't mean that the officials are actually going to give it out. Same with the pride judging the fight as a whole.

Bring back the pride rules. Joke of a decision

if it had 10-8s like people say. Spell out your example, If you're talking about your op it still comes down to how the judges divide it out of 30... How do you know that they won't just automatically score every round 20 points winner, 10 points loser regardless of how well you spell out the rules... see my point about enforcement?

I've been saying that for years. Every event there is a fight like this. This really wasn't much different than Bisping's win over Hendo. Yoel did fuck-all for the first 2 rounds and most of the 4th. He then landed two good shots in that round. I don't think that negated Robert winning the rest of it by a large margin.

People can argue 10-8's all they want too but it's still subjective scoring. I'd much rather they judge fights as a whole. The 10pt system tends to promote points fighting.

If it's applied properly, it works just fine. It wasn't applied properly tonight.
