10 best grapplers in MMA

Looks like Bellator and UFC pretty much make up the list.

Gameness just released a list of 10 of the best grapplers in MMA. I would say the list is pretty accurate as far as being accomplished in their background martial art. For example, going to the Pan Ams or the Olympics.

Massively disagree with the order at least. In a pure grappling match Jacare, Maia and Askren probably tramp on every one there.

Hendricks has the credentials but mma-wise, I agree, no; he's lived off his haymaker left. Decent list. Could be worse.

Jacare and especially Roger Gracie are better grapplers than Maia. In Roger's case, he's SIGNIFICANTLY better than Maia.

As for Rousey, she shouldn't even sniff the list. She's the best female grappler in MMA but if we're talking MMA in general she wouldn't be top 50 let alone top 10.

That list is hilariously terrible. It lists Anderson Silva in the honorable mentions but Jon Jones isn't even on the list. So Anderson is a better grappler than the greatest grappler in UFC light-heavyweight history? Hahahah.

Should this be pure grappling-wise, then no Roger or even Galvao makes it silly.

If best in actually applying grappling into MMA, then Warren shouldn't be even close to top anything.
