10-8 Rd 2 for Kelvin?

I personally gave it a 10-9, but had a couple buddies say 10-8 for the kd and then later falling at end of the round (meh, I thought he thought the stool was beneath him)

I do agree the crowd and announcers swayed us Rd 3 was close. I don't think so myself.

Jacare's success after the KD was enough to keep it a 10-9 in my eyes. I thought round 1 should have been a 10-8 for Jacare, though (making the fight a draw in my eyes).

Closest thing to a 10-8 all fight was the 1st round in favor of jacare. I personally scored it 10-9 , though.

I only watched it the one time but from what I remember no way was it a 10-8, Jacare got cracked but I think he got his wits back and did enough to evade the 10-8.

I'm wrong, but I always thought a KD shouldn't be an automatic winning round for the person. Like I think of Heath Herring vs Nogueira 3. Nog dominated that round, yet because he got rocked and almost finished at the end of it, I saw Herring 10-8 and Herring 10-9 scores. I would have just had the round become 9-9 at that point. Yes, almost getting finished should deduct a point for that fighter being hurt, but I think they can still tie the round and have it be 9-9.

Just like his fight with Yoel one knock down ruined him. If it wasn't for Kevlin's chin/youth I think Jacare would have won clearly. It wasn't a terrible decision by any means but Jacare has gotten the raw end of the deal many times in his Career. It has to be demoralizing.

I forgot about Yoel-Jacare. Yeah, Jacare getting dropped on that backfist really did cost him that fight. He pretty much won the fight aside from that moment and the following attempt to finish by Yoel.

This is where I’m at with it. 3rd round was a toss up but perhaps Kelvin looked more active in the final part of it and finished strong throwing some bombs and coming forward

You're friends are idiots and you should know it. I think it was much closer to Jacare 10-9 than 10-8 Kelvin.

Go back and watch it closely. Jacare was tired and sloppy as shit, but he was consistently landing his sloppy punches. Kelvin's chin made those shots look weaker than they really were. One KD doesn't automatically win you the round. We need to stop these simplistic ideas in MMA.

Watch intently. Kelvin could have gotten a 10-8 if he had capitalized on the KD better and taken advantage of a winded Jacare with higher output. I was overall disappointed in his performance despite the win. I had it 29-28 Jacare. I predicted Kelvin and like both of them.

No 10-8's on either side. Definitely not in the first round, and even though Jacare got hurt and dropped in the second round, he also landed about four or five pinpoint straight rights to Kelvin's mug. Scored the second for Gastelum obviously, but it was close in spite of the knockdown.
