Have you ever scored a round 10-7?

If so, when?

If not, why?

The only completed round I can think of off the top of my head that I feel sure was a 10-7 was round 1 of Lesnar vs Carwin, because it should basically have been stopped, Lesnar had no meaningful offence in the entire round, and for a long period it was just one guy delivering a one-sided, damaging pounding to the other.

Thoughts?

Non-UFC, but a recent example would be Emelianenko/Maldonado round 1.

I don't think so... Maybe in Khabib vs Trujillo, Cummins vs Kingsbury or Glover vs Fabio, haha.

A 10-7 round in a 3 round fight might mean at best a fighter can hope for a draw.

have never seen a round scored that in mma that I can remember

if there was such a round Hendo vs Shogun 1...round 5

Starnes vs Quarry got some 10-7 action, I think, and reasonably so.

Cyborg vs Finney was like the grizzly bear attack in the Revenant.

Nah, Fedor had some moments in that fight. Decent flurry at the start, 10-7 is where one fighter has absolutely no offense and comes close to being finished multiple times.

Nah, a fighter can win with two 10-8 rounds, or finish the fight.

On topic, I wouldn't give Carwin a 10-7 because Lesnar got back to his feet without referee help, outscrambled Carwin once, and never looked out. A 10-8 for sure, but under the current ruleset to give a 10-7 you would need more than that. Fedor vs Brawldonado might be one. Fedor was out and allowed to be woken up with punches, complete robbery that that was a 10-9 for two judges, and I say this as a Fedor fan.

Fedor was in control before the knockdown, but that beating was brutal, Fedor was flash KO'd, woke up, gave his back to his oponent while doing the funny walk.
I think if Fabio didn't follow Fedor at the first knockdown it could have been stopped, same with Valerie against Jojo, she was out and woke up with the gn'p.

Gray Maynard vs Frankie Edgar second fight round 1

Definitely Edgar/Maynard, and I would have been pushing it with Cerrone/Jury. 3 sub attempts in one round, 2 fairly close, and he spent the entire round bar the first 10 seconds in mount/back mount/side control. I could see that one as perhaps a 10-8 though

Quarry vs Starnes - One judge scored it 30-24 for Quarry. There's gotta be a 10-7 in there unless all three rounds were 10-8.

My first thought is that if a round is that one-sided it should be a stoppage before a 10-7 ....

10 point scoring syatem is so dumb for MMA. Hardly any judges even give 10-8 rounds. There are still 8 points there even if they do. Why not 3-2 rounds, or 3-1 for really dominate rounds. No one is ever going to get like a 10-4 round. It's just dumb

1st round of Glover vs Maldonado was probably the closest I've ever seen. Man, what a beatdown

Dillashaw/Watson rd 2
Franklin/Loiseu rd 2
Frankie/Gray 2 rd 1 maybe

Fedor/Fabio was a clear 10-8 lol, 10-7 is ridiculous. Fedor was winning the first 2 minutes clearly, the barrage after wasnt even as bad as Brock/Shane or Frankie/Gray

If Hunt/Miocic went to decision, I'd score the fight 50-38 with multiple 10-7 and 10-8 rounds
