I'm wondering this too.
McGregor relies on his ego a lot. What's he going to be like walking into this knowing that it was him that has been roaring and shouting in rage at press conferences, and not his opponent? He's not in Diaz' head at all, but Diaz is most certainly in his.
If Diaz manages to take it midway through the second round, what's McGregor going to think? It's usually all over by then, and he'll know that Diaz is sound mentally.

That goes with most fights and we seen Diaz give less than 100%.
I agree that he is thinking about the $$$ more than the fight.
