People joke all the time.

I doubt Fedor cares about kid shit like that.

Fyodor is still the GOAT heavyweight in my eyes. A fat LHW barely 6 feet tall and with average reach using his speed, quickness, brain power to overcome larger or stronger opponents.

He stood toe to toe with Arlovski (KO) and Filipovic and Noguiera, some formidable guys. He nullified the BJJ beast Ricardo Arona, he would give any LHW or HW in the UFC serious trouble....Jon Jones, Cormier, what have you.
 
To me, there was no disrespect intended. Werdum did the same stupid thing that many people do: utter profanities in another language as a joke. It's dumb, but not malicious.

I think he's still trying to make up for that time he got choked out in front of his girlfriend by another guy (what prompted him to start learning BJJ).

Fedor didn't give zero fucks.

Werdum is lucky he fought Fedor in 2010 and not in 2004.

Werdum could never get to Fedor in PRIDE because he lost to Sergei and Nog.

Fedor peaked in the early and mid 2000s while Werdum peaked from 2010 to 2015. Werdum started a few years later than Fedor, worked his way up slowly(and took a few losses to other greats) and hit his prime several years later whereas Fedor went first 10 years undefeated and then declined. Two different career paths. Two ATGs. I have Fedor at 1, Nog at 2 and Werdum at 3.

And a true pro ! Never get caught for a single thing bad in his life, one of the cleanest fighter around (no yellow card, no fools, etc) and not a drama queen. A man of few words but many deeds.

I don't get how people don't think he's the hw GOAT. I mean there's four candidates: Cain fedor nog and werdum...werdum has finished alll theee of them and also has wins over overeem and hunt

Subs in general in that division is over looked. Pride rules were better at creating distance for a man on his back to escape, and stop stalling. How can anyone hate on that? But the rule set made the fight game more dynamic. You lose elbows but we get a more entretaining fight with added kicks, longer first rounds where men often break past 5 minutes. Those rules helped someone like Fedor dynamic. A smart fighter who keeps composure.

And here in 2018 we see another great undefeated Sambo Russian, with a monstrous top game, and the added benefit of pressure of a cage..a disaster. He also displays the same kind of composure while fighting which he's displayed. If he's using what I call the Cus trick into controlling fear and making it your friend, it elevates your game instead of letting it destroy everything. Have we learnt nothing from history? Just wIsh Khabib had dynamite fists and striking like the predecessor. It's funny both have staggering striking defense. For a reason..

Cain breaking his fists over JDS for an hour shed light upon his sub game. Not like Junior didn't give opportunities my god. That left an impression on me with Cain that we're only seeing certain skill sets applied unnecessary if you have more in your arsenal.
