1 merab vs 1 gorilla

Or... the humans use those big brains of theirs, recognise they aren't going to just bum rush and overpower the gorilla without mass casualties, spread out and tire the gorilla out while running away from it.

Once is is tired out and exhausted, THEN attack it.
Funny enough that i tried that scenario as well -
It is possible for humans to exhaust a gorilla by making it chase them repeatedly, but there are important caveats:

  • Gorillas are sprinters, not endurance runners. They possess explosive power and can reach speeds up to 25 mph over short distances, making them much faster than humans in a sprint. Most humans cannot outrun a gorilla in a short chase.
  • Over long distances, humans have an advantage. Humans evolved for endurance and persistence hunting, meaning that, in theory, a group of people could potentially tire out a gorilla if they kept it running or moving for an extended period. Gorillas are not built for long chases and would become fatigued faster than a group of fit humans.
  • Practical risks remain extremely high. If the gorilla catches up to anyone during the chase, it could inflict fatal injuries very quickly due to its immense strength and aggression when provoked. Even if the plan is to run and tire the gorilla, any mistake or miscalculation could be deadly for those involved.
In summary:
While it is theoretically possible for a coordinated group of humans to exhaust a gorilla by making it move continuously-since gorillas lack human-like endurance-the danger is immense. Any close encounter during the process would likely result in severe or fatal injuries to the humans involved. The scenario relies heavily on maintaining distance and coordination, as gorillas are vastly superior in short bursts of speed and power.

BTW in real world. Gorilla would just back off if it have seen 100 braindeads charging ...
