I was just at zehrs to get chicken tenders and wedges 3$ meal for lunch.

I had a hankering for some delicious cookies, so I'm looking around and I see a bunker of bacon, 500g packs for 1$.

I do a double take!!!! This can't be real!!! It must be 1$ off.

But no, it is real. Bacon for 1$¡!!!!!!!!! (Canadian)

In all my bacon shopping days I've never seen such a deal, it doesn't expire in a day or anything either they are good until mid may.

I bought 5 packs, and I still have 7 packs at home from the last super deal which was 2.50$ per pack.

Now I'm sitting on a hefty bacon surplus. Bacon breakfasts forever, yay!!!!!!

Grew up in a vegetarian household - I missed out on many great foods you guys take for granted.

There's a wholesale liquidators by my place that has the good thick bacon for really cheap sometimes. It's pretty much the only reason I go there, and I end up getting like 5-6 packs and throw them in the freezer lol.

Best bacon I ever had though was fresh farm slaughtered from the Hutterite colony. Came wrapped in the brown meat wrapping paper in a giant slab with the rind/skin with hair still on it that you had to slice yourself. Holy fuck was it good. Never seen bacon with so much meat on it. I've also gotten a chicken from them and it was the biggest chicken I've ever seen. Like, wayyyy bigger than anything you get from any grocery store, shit was pretty much the size of a turkey.

That sounds like good eats, I hate to be a prick but if the pork you took home wasn't cured/smoked/seasoned in any way it wasn't bacon it was just pork belly. That's not a bad thing though, it's quite good too. Def good eats as well.
