I love volk, but he will be shown the door soon. like someone else said, he just got ko'd, came back quick, and is fighting a undefeated fighter who is 8 years younger. Compound this, with the fact that he's getting up there in years and moving up to LW is just an unabashed bad idea.
 
Bad things to hear if yer a fan of Volk. This is the type of language guys like Usman used before losing. Same with Sterling.

The divisions these guys are in have plenty of sharks, and the champs fall off by the time they turn 35. Volk needs to stay focused. Topuria and evloev are both undefeated contenders and they will be tough tests for him.

I love that he wants to straddle 2 divisions.
He will have his division pretty well cleaned out after this next fight, and teh matchoops at 155 get me much more pumped.

Would love to see him oop against teh worlds greatest gate keepers long enough to get his rematch against teh champ on proper notice.

Topuria is already talking about defending the belt against Max in Spain.

Rather he fought folks in his own division. But hey it will go how it goes until it doesn't.

I don’t think Volk is shot yet. The quick turn around isn’t a good idea though. He took the LW fight on short notice too. I think he is taking too many chances.

I am honestly not really sold on Topuria but this is the right time for him to beat Volk.

We all know how it goes when champs say they'll go up just before fighting a solid contender... :(
 
It's hard to complain about it since there's no real good contenders rn.

Even Illia if you strip down the mystic and confidence, he has not done enough to get. Ts imo.

One more win would have been needed.

Dana Wifebeater is probably one of the people booing in the stands at his own product. He has never understood MMA beyond the level of the PowerSlap enthusiast that he is.

Remember when he completely lost his shit about Jan vs Ankalaev? Not the greatest fight certainly, but it had more momentum swings than most fights. And then Dana hysterically reacted like we just watched Severn vs Shamrock 2.

Especially if he starts campaigning at LW.
 
He’s going to lose to Illia and Movsar Evloev will be the champion by the end of 2024. Around thanksgiving. Maybe October.
