Zion has made 98 free throws in 19 games
Lonzo has made 90 free throws in 155 games.

Lonzo might be the worst FT shooter in league history when it comes to guards. Even Shaq is like

<{shaqs}>

Which is even more of a stark contrast when you consider that Zion is the big man and Ball is the guard.

Looking at their stats Ball has only had a total of 186 FT attempts and Zion has had 152 so being a guard he spends a lot less time in the paint so he's a lot less likely to get fouled. So while the numbers don't look good for Ball they're not as bad as the thread starter is making them out to being.

People really still talk about Lonzo Ball?

Didnt he turn out to be like, the most average player of average young players?

Lol he's a career 48% FT shooter, yeah I'm really making him look bad lol

I thought Lonzo was really efficient in this past year and has totally improved his style of play. Some of the passes he made in this past season were Iverson-esque. Maybe better Absolutely jawdropping.

As he's moved away from trying to be the leading man in every category like he was in smaller ponds, it seems like he's adapting to being a specialist, which is great for his career. The thing about all-arounders is that when they dip in any category, they're average. Specialists can afford a slight dip in certain aspects as long as they keep others at a distinguishable level. Franchises know what they want, what they have and where the other pieces can come in.
If Ben Simmons decided to dedicate an increase in his shooting to, let's say, 8 more shots a game, he'd be taking potential points away from his team.

Lonzo's being schemed in as a specialist, so when his FT% is up (Career high I think), his 3PT% is up, it's only a positive. If he were the player he billed himself as and tried to be in LA, those wouldn't really matter much at all.

But yeah, Zion is miles ahead of him. Lonzo's still doing alright for himself though. I think both will have long-term success, just at different levels of notoriety and impact.

Is this thread supposed to prove something?
Williamson is, when healthy, a generational talent with a foul-requiring aggressive interior game and Lonzo Ball is an above average combo guard with some flaws that need refining as he starts to enter his...mid twenties lol.

Zion is still a one dimensional player.

What the fuck did I just read?

Iverson was a horrible playmaker..lonzo was never an efficient shooter. In elementary school he was a better passer then Iverson .his playmaking is off the charts. But he can't shoot. Being able to slag off the primary ball handler is insanely beneficial to the opposition.its why Ben Simmons will never be a positive player. No fucking clue what you're talking about. Stick to cooking and soccer. Fucking girl shit

Oh okay

Which part do you disagree with? Do you think Allen Iverson is a good (or even above average playmaker )
Just that Iverson had some really flashy, incredible passes in his prime, not the hyperbolic autism you’re throwing on my post like I was insinuating anything else.

I agree. Iverson was a good passer when he wanted to be. He just had a score first mentality where as Lonzo has a I can't score mentality although he improved this year with the Pelicans.

Did he tho? I think you're wrong here . Iverson may have done some spinning shit, but he certainly wasn't known for it. Fuck. He wasn't known for passing.

To compare lonzo (who is an amazing playmaker to Iverson, a ball hog that couldnt pass ) is very odd, don't you think? They only share their inefficiency in common.

Lonzo's best comprison is _ason Kidd (no J) can't shoot. But has silly court vision. And looking for a pass before a shot

AI was a shooting guard in a pint guards body.

His scoring season he averaged 3.6 assists second lowest in the league for pgs . The year he made the Olympic roster he averaged 3.2 assists per game . His shots to assist ratio is 10/1.5 that's never been seen before .

AI, at his height where he led the league shot a ts% 42 it's bad. Very bad
