Woodley opens as a underdog going in to UFC 209 (seventh time in a row he's a underdog)

There's an important klan rally scheduled for that night so I won't be watching the fights. I'm gonna go sew a wonderboy patch on my klan gear right now though, since I can't watch I'll be cheering in spirit for the great white hope as we burn the cross of that black devil Tyron. He is not god's chosen one but the deciever known as the antichrist.
 
I'd put Thompson as the fav as well. I gave him 3 rounds where he was out-striking Woodley (though with a low output), while Tyron had spots where he did the most damage.

While Woodley has the tools to hurt Thompson again, it's always harder to do than for Thompson to out-strike him. Even harder in a rematch since Thompson is the way more experienced striker. But Woodley's the way more experienced wrestler, so the surest way for Woodley to win, imo, is going for TD's - top control/GnP.

So while those 2 skillsets are respectively lopsided WB is the safer pick because he has footwork and distance management to counter Woodley's strengths. But his output needs to be higher, which in turn gives Woodley more chances to hurt him, but it's still the way to get this done, methinks.
 
In my opinion, Woodley is simply more talented than Wonderboy. Based on the first fight, the only way Wonderboy looked like hes was going to win is if a judge gave him the fight.

But Woodley looked like he could finish Wonderboy.

However, I will never bet on Woodley because he looks scared in the Octagon. His mentality and insecurities about his cardio stops him from being the complete savage he could potentially be.
 
I think Tyron gets the finish this time around.. Should have gave Maia the fight and then wonder boy can fight the winner, but whatever
 
Woodley is definitely underrated. Granted Lawler was the champ, but Woodley's speed/power/wrestling/athleticism were all on another level, and virtually no one gave him any shot in that fight.
 
Crazy that people are betting on WB since he was the only one that got hurt and hurt badly that fight. Woodley should be the true favorite. They both need to step their game up. Aside from the near finish, both guys fought too scared.
 
Pretty sure he was favorite vs kim....at least i know he closed -190.

....and right now woodley wonder 2 is virtually a pk em fight.

And if it were the other way around fans would be talking about how extremely fortunate Woodley is for getting a second chance.

I wish Woodley didn't go for that stupid guillotine and allow Thompson to recover.
 
Not racism, just flowy striking specialists being overrated in general.
 
He's only +105, which is practically even, no surprise coming off a draw in the first fight.

Tyron would be a huge underdog if the Sherdog poll set the odds.
 
Makes sense, Wonderboy most likely beats Woodley this time.
