Women/non-male faculty in Canadian universities are getting raises just for being women/non-male

This doesn’t go far enough. Women should be paid more than men to make up for years of injustice and to overcome the historical disadvantages that are now built into the institutional patriarchy.

Would lol hard if the male staff changed their status to "non-male" to get in on the raise.

What's to stop any man who works there from identifying as "non-male", which somehow in 2018 is different from "woman"?
Absolutely nothing. Lauren Southern is legally a man now in Canada because she bullshitted her way through their joke of a process.

My mother used to work for an abused women's shelter which paid their male employees $7k less than their female employees across the board. As you can imagine, they had a bit of a feminist bent and thought this was fair. The male employees obviously thought otherwise. This is the only example I know of of people systemically being paid different rates for the same work based strictly on gender.

The cited pay gap is actually for ALL women compared to ALL men, and not for men and women working the same job with the same level of experience, etc. Feminists distort these facts for propaganda. It's been illegal to pay women less for the same work since 1963 in the US. It's also been illegal in most, if not all Western countries at varying dates, but most go back at least 40-50 years.

this is nice anecdotal evidence but it still proves nothing.
The part about the women's shelter where my mother worked is anecdotal evidence. Everything else is a well-documented fact, though.

oh I didnt mean about the laws you mentioned, I shouldve been clearer. I just meant your story about your mom

Also I wasnt dismissing your story either, all Im meaning with this story is that until more information is made available about this situation I tend not to lean towards shady business taking place

what investigation? specify what you are talking about if you are trying to make a point
I didn't realize my phone butchered that post that much lol, I was saying Trump and his lawyer said they had no ties to Russia so I will trust that then someone on Sherdog, to your point about a company saying one thing therefore you trust their word over others.

but theres sufficient evidence he does have ties to Russia, otherwise no investigation would be taking place

so these situations are not similar
