in iceland a guy doesnt even have the same last name as his sister.. no one has the same last name.. they have an app that lets you know if you are related to someone you can use before you date them

What about situations where father wants nothing to do with mother after he finds out she's pregnant. When he leaves her in the lurch, she's not going to give the son his name and instead will give it the kid her last name.

And this is all moot since people can legally change their names to whatever they want.

The most common surnames in the world are Lee (or Li), Zhang, Wang, Nguyen, Garcia, Gonzalez, Hernandez, Smith, Smirnov and Muller. Surprised Patel isnt in there; every indian guy is a patel
