Wholly carp British Fish N Chips SUCK BALLS

Best fish and chips I have ever had was in straya. Food from down under is some of the best I have ever had.

Yeah man, Long John Silvers is way better than thd UK.

Like they would make a better country.

So not too long ago I went to Epcot Center in Disney. They have this place there where they have people actually from different countries serving the actu foods of those countries. Thus, they'll have actual Germans serving German food, actual French serving French food, etc.

So I got to the British part. I had been saving my hunger because I've have always heard great things about British Fish and chips. And I *love* good fish and chips. I get them whenever I see them on the menu.

So I got them from the British section. I was served them by some geeky British kid with bad acne and horrible teeth (I shit you not lol - the French were also rude - apparently there is a reason for stereotypes lol). They looked fine. I eagerly dug in.

Wholly carp the were bad. And I mean bad. Absolutely, positively, no flavor whatsoever. Both the fish and the chips. It's like the British haven't even discovered salt or pepper. :(

So, if you get an opportunity to try British Fish and chips, and there is ANYTHING else only the menu that looks palatable, I'd go with the ladder. The fish and chips will only be a big letdown. Go to Long John Silvers and get some fish and chips that are 1,000 times better.

Is that Swedish buffet still at the Swede section? That place was great, unlimited meat balls, and lox.

Calorie.... Restrictions...... Tooo hungry...must leave thread!

says he loves good fish and chips. then says to go to long john silvers. <{hughesimpress}>

Both places I had fish and chips in London were very good.

I had fish and chips in London and they were terrible. The fish was greasy and the chips tasted like fish, probably because they fried everything in the same oil and never changed it.

It was a shame because despite all the jokes about British cuisine, all the other meals I had were pretty damn good. Cornish pasties, full English breakfast, bangers and mash, etc. All good stuff.

there is a golden rule: the farther north you treavel in europe, the shittier the food gets

germany has decent food any anything above germany is shit
you have to travel south or west to find great food (portugal, spain, france, italy, croatia, balkans in general, greece, etc) - I'd say Mediterranean food is the highest quality food in europe, everything else plays second fiddle to it.

the northerners suck at making food (cant even season them properly) and don't have any traditional dishes that are worth shit (compared to countries I mentioned) - no wonder foreign cousine took those countries by storm

I've been to ireland, sweden, denmark, holland and never tasted anything of quality there

and fucking lol at fish and chips and actually being proud of it - a 2nd grader could make fried fish and potato and serve it news paper (btw serving food in used newspaper is lol worthy - if you knew how newspaper were made you definately wouldnt be eating food out of it)

No clue as to why, but read this post with this guy's voice in my head:

So you maybe that stand you went to isn't representative of an entire nation?

It is fucking fish and chips. I like it and sometimes go out of my way to get it but lets not pretend it is a delicacy. Fry it correctly and give me some fries and vineger and you are 90% of the way there. I live in Houston, so maybe that helps. The worst fish and chips I have gotten was in nowhere Oklahoma. I have also had muffulettas there with fried chicken and mayonnaise. But, yeah. Making good fish and chips isn't splitting the atom.

lot of truth here. Scandinavia has shit for food.

The northern euros just didn't have many spices to begin with, so they relied on cream, vinegar, and herbs to make their measly food palatable to them.

LOL such measly peasants, them and their food sound poor

It's probably a tie between Belfast and St. Johns for the best fish & chips i've ever had. Only tried 1 place in London though.

This would be like me saying Mexican food sucks because I had crappy Taco Bell

You can only do so much with fish and chips brah. It's not like it's some fancy dish or anything.
