Are you one of those people that think comparing a country like Sweden to a country like America, which has cities bigger than the whole population of most Scandinavian countries, and which is incredibly diverse, which also has a permanent underclass (which, incidentally would lower our gun violence by somewhere in the area of 90% if discounted; but it's not progressive to bring such matters up), and yes, with a hell of a lot guns floating around, makes a lick of sense?

That's not the case for Sweden.

When the social democratic third wave began to rule this land, Sweden's position in the world when it came to finances and economic growth began to fall behind in the 60's, at the time the social democrats began to seriously expand the nanny state.

Sweden's wealth and development stems from the period of 1870-1936 and it had absolutely nothing to do with social democracy.

You should also study the low poverty amongst Swedish immigrants and their descendants in America, which shows a pre-existing cultural norm of hard work and endurance.

I dont see why. The Finlands are pretty much included into scandinavia in the eyes of swedes and danes, and firmly part of the nordic countries. Technically finland is not in the scandinavian penusila, but culturally and historically they are as good as. BTW a good part of the population of finland have swedish as first language. They may have a bit more mixed blood than most other northen countries, but they are largely of the same genetic pool.

as for nordic inventions. Too many to mention. especially in the fields of medicine and electronics.
