Trump as President is certainly capable of causing harm to established political norms and able to implement some actions that run counter to progressive desires but he's not capable of just turning dictator and running rampant over Congress. Congress thwarted Trump when he was in office just like Congress have thwarted some of what Biden has wanted to do while he's been in office. I think it's unacceptable risk. We might be fine, but I don't think we want to knowingly walk into a situation where we have to again test our ability to prevent someone from destroying the American project.

As much as I agree he’s a complete disaster, I feel like we have to trust that our system is built to withstand when nearly half of the voting public has apparently contracted some form of dementia.
Tbf, if the dems were to also lose the senate, I’d be more concerned. I’d still expect America to prevail, but the next president’s mess to clean up would be even bigger (and we know from experience there will certainly be a mess).
Plus, selfishly, I’ve personally done just fine under every president and in every economy, so I don’t worry too much about it.
