i have no idea, sure the guy is super talented but it doesnt hurt if you happen to know people within your "social circle" to put it in a way, that gives you access to participate in projects and be on the scene easier

I think its a big leap to say they let him do it, knowing full well what was going on. At the end of the day, this is still a guy that people were considering a friend if not family. James Vanderbeek is claiming some "old, powerful men" groped him when he was younger. People are automatically believing him. Not saying he's lying, but if that's all it takes to get people riled up, this could get ugly, fast, and the overreach of the condemnation of Hollywood could backfire. All it would take is a few to get exposed as liars out for some publicity, and the credibility of the whole thing gets cheapened, and these powerful sex monsters can start threatening people with the old "Nobody will ever believe you" line.
