But that's irrelevant. The reason it'd be bad, or unlikely, for him to get the shot would be the thing that made him drop below the top 10 in the first place (e.g. a loss). It wouldn't be about the ranking itself. At no point does the UFC go "Oh, Fighter A is now ranked at #X. He can get a title shot now."
