WBKFF has not paid fighters for Nov 9 card

What about the guy who broke up with his girlfriend to focus on training, only to have his fight canceled. Then got to get interviewed by Bas and got the great news he will get a bye into the next round of the lightweight tournament.

What about that 3rd event where to owner claimed he was going to do 50 events in 2019. I think the hype from their 1st event went to his head.

keep it to 6 events per year or try and get a deal with DAZN and expand.
Bare knuckle is probably too seamy for DAZN, but if they’re using combat sports to crack the American market, why not? I’d at least watch the highlights while rowing or ironing my work shirts.

Is the promoter a straight con artist, or was he trying to do a legitimate event but ran out of money?

LOL oh Bas, why did you get involved with this shit.

He released a statement on FB addressing the non-payment:

https://www.bjpenn.com/bare-knuckle...es-statement-regarding-fighter-pay-situation/

He also appears to contradict the BJPenn.com report, as Bas claims the custom Mustangs are still being 'inspected' and not given to the fighters yet while the BJPenn.com claims one of the cars was repossessed for not being paid in-full.

Also, the top Google search suggestion for WBKFF is "not paying fighters".

Pay your debts and then pack it in, boys. Your rep is toast. At least BKFC is still having events.

Or maybe someone gets manly up in here and holds some full-contact lethwei tournament at a reservation or something!

not the first promotion to not pay their fighters, won't be the last.

This is a complete disaster.

Guess they must of spent it all on the violin lady...

Johny Hendricks went from being the UFC champion of the world, to being knocked out by a gay porn star, on the undercard of a bare-knuckle boxing event, for free.

Their website is so shit, there till advertising the Nov 9 event with Ward still in the main event.

In other bare knuckle news, the other org. (BKFC) is holding their fourth show on February 2, 2019. I’m a little surprised by that. I thought they’d be dead after their second show, which was one of the dreariest things I’ve ever seen. Guess they found their niche.
They didn’t go as all out as WBKFF has on their events. They’re coming along nice and slow, but it seems to be working. I’m rooting for them.

I'm not sure what to think. I don't know whether Bas is in on the alleged con, is being duped by the promoter, or is right about everything he is saying.

But here's an interesting quote from the Facebook comments: Lee Mein "That is crazy Bas. I have done 60 shows now and never had those problems."

is this the one bas is president of?

So Hendricks, the former UFC welterweight champion of the world got KTFOed by a gay-porn actor in an undercard of a shitty promotion...for free? Ouch

And this is why these kinds of shows are in Wyoming. Any of the major commissions make you put fighter pay (including win bonuses for everyone) into escrow beforehand.

It’s all true, and it sounds so harsh. This is sobering.

It wouldn't be as bad if he was getting paid. he might have to sue to get his money.
