UFC Fight Night 129: Maia vs. Usman Main Card PBP Discussion 10 pm ET/7 pm PT/3 am UK

Would be incredibly stupid, risky, and dangerous. However, yes it would be impressive.

The thing is these guys fight for money more than anything. Woodley is the perfect example. He puts on boring shows then whines that he can't get a money fight. Who wants to watch guys like Colby or now Usman fight away from their strength because they're terrified of going to the ground with a bbj ace? Instead they turn the fights into shitty striking matches then they'll whine that they aren't getting title shots or getting paid. You gotta put butts in the seats.

I hope Maia announces his retirement after the judges call

Man. Fuck that Usman guy. Fuck him right in the ear! Lame bastard played it beyond safe. Pulled some dirty shit. Will never cheer for that hoser again. He has no business headlining cards.

Hope he doesnt try to talk shit about that performance.

EDIT: X-Rays, or it didnt happen

Man Maia has a terrible corner

Terrible management too, allowing him to fight Masvidal, Woodley, and covington back to back to back in a 6 month timespan, and then accepting a fight against Usman on 3 weeks notice. Bad choices towards the end of Maia's career.

Main event is a gigantic borefest

This is so sad. Maia is such a likeable figure. Sucks to see him get the worst three opponents in his division back to back and get rekt like this.
UFC burying Maia. They gave him a short notice five rounder for a reason. Sad.

Usman riding out a boring decision he won by nothing than cardio and defending one-dimensional takedowns from an apparent post-prime Maia that seems to have none of that left what made him so great and dangerous, which was his creativity and extreme tenacity. What a stud lol, and that guy wants to fight at the level of in-prime Woodley, Thompson etc. No chance. It's sad to see Maia in this condition though. He's not getting beat up or anything, but he seems like he's got not passion, no drive, like he's just going in there to make some money.
Btw, what kind of judge scored the first round pro Usman? The latter 4, obviously, but the first was all Maia.

lol, this guy has excuses every fight
