Anecdotal, unsupported response, I give you actual things Trump is doing to scale back the federal government, the *dead opposite* of the Fascist mode of operation. And hell, you even add to the list with his lack of interest in foreign affairs - of course with a caveat that he
might one day be fascist there too
I mean, hell, if we're counting things he
might do when we decide to call him a fascist, we should really hold him accountable for his death camps - amirite?
I like it how you sort of insinuate that "
I probably won't see it that way" just like "
Mussolini fans probably didn't see it that way" just subtly dropping in that a girl who has *blasted* Trump here, publicly, and has never actually supported the guy beyond "
Ok, he's the president now - maybe we should support him" is some sort of Trump fan. Really dude, you are coming off as so transparently partisan it hurts to watch. Trump is an asshat who is outright
bungling a variety of things as he goes along his merry way breaking campaign promises, but he is not showing the signs of being a fascist. Maybe he might, one day, but for now he is taking many steps in the dead opposite direction and your insistence on tying the term to him just shows how we're really willing to apply it to
anyone these days, whether they fit the bill or not, in our effort to signal to everyone what a bad guy he is. While we're at it, why not call him a theocrat and a Muslim extremist too? Those make about as much sense. Frankly, it's sad that we're at a point that when someone says "
Wait, Trump is a bungling, a promise breaker, and I never supported him when he was running - but can we stick to the things that actually describe him to criticize him with?" a common response is "
lol, look at the Trump fan! I bet Mussolini fans just gave him a pass too..."
