Wow, the Trump takeover of the GOP is in full effect. The party of limiting central power and government has turned full blown statist. All of my conservative media on my facebook feed is filled with comments from people celebrating violence against protesters, people calling for Trump to use executive powers to throw millions out of the country, etc. It really is bizarre seeing the 'conservative' party go full blown statist and celebrate state sanctioned violence against protesters.

Violence against protesters? Or Violence against rioters? Big difference!

Not all of them, just the assholes who take his election to validate their misanthropy.

Nobody celebrates violence against peaceful protestors, but if you start breaking windows, destroying vehicles and public property and punching people for not agreeing with you, then you should get the stick.

You mean the things he said he would do and is doing them.

Apparently you've missed the war going on for 8 years against whites, law officials etc.?

Do you think rioting is unwarranted and uncalled for no matter what? Im just curious.
Do you think rioting against the outcome of a democratically elected official is warranted? Is your snowflake really that special?

The riots during the inauguration definitely fits the "unwarranted and uncalled for" description...

Oh', and pretty much every BLM one as well.

Is this like the war on Christmas, where you confuse not having absolute dominance with being shot?

All they care about is Hilary losing and a bone or two being thrown at them. And of course, if the "liberals" are against something then it's gotta be a good thing.

It depends on the cause but that said it is the last recourse and is a action to overthrow a corrupt government. So it's not a riot it's a revolution.

Nothing since the revolutionary war (maybe the civil war) has meet that.

Trump was the anti-statist candidate silly guy. You guys who vote for Clinton, praise Obama, and support the DNC, RNC, and MSM are the statists.

Rioting against a tyrannical regime is one thing but rioting and vandalizing stores and cars is something quite else. It won't help their cause one iota.

Rioting against Trump is totally uncalled for so if you dislike his policies, then protest peacefully.

Thus no longer being peaceful.
Right to protest peacefully, all day as long as your breath lasts.
The moment you get violent, off to the hoosegow

One man's revolution is another man's riot.

Doesn't tying acceptable response to inconsistent semantic questions undermine the whole distinction though?

There's also the question of initiation of aggressive violence. If police are sent in to an otherwise peaceful protest, and begin using force to disrupt it, is it an uncalled for riot when you fight back, or striking back against tyrannical government?
