I can't find the thread but shortly after the BJ at the airport thread someone claimed to have seen a UFC contract with Crocops name on it while he was on a flight.

This was after crocop won the OWGP and a few weeks before the news broke that he indeed was going to the UFC.

I remember a thread where the ts claimed to be Cameron Diffley from TuF and babbled incoherently about fighting Nick DIaz.

Stayed on the front page way longer than it should have.
 
Can't remember the exact thread titles, but here are my top 5:

#1 = A crazy, long deleted and not nearly enough viewed, thread with two guys in Toronto (CanadianBacon and Chicken Salad, I believe) looking to throw down in the park, in real time, on the night of a fight, with maybe 30-50 sherdoggers egging them on, including a hand full of Torontonians who dropped the UFC fights and went out to find and document the would be sherbro pugilists. ChickenSalad turned chickenshit, ducked the fight, ruined our night, and made us harass him mercilessly until the thread was deleted, so that it now lives on in only in the memories of the chosen few who were there to witness its glory as it unfolded live.

Edit: Upon further research it was Skydome and ChickenDinner, not CanadianBacon and ChickenSalad... you can understand my confusion, I'm sure.

Edit 2: Like I said, the original was deleted... but here's a bonus spin-off thread...

#5 = I dunno... "The Eggplant will salute other pigeons" maybe? OP was nicely executed on that one.

I think I missed this one and I am really interested. you sure it's been deleted?

and to contribute myself too, back in the days there was a thread most likely called something like "Why Randy?", where the TS posted a pic of Randy Couture wearing some... ok, let's go with "weird" black undershirt and posted something like: "Why did you have to wear this exactly and let someone take a picture of yourself in it?". I am an all time Couture fan, but this thread was really funny. For someone with a Sherdog like sense of humor it was a must read thing.

But I tried to look for both "Japanese MMA ranking" and "Why Randy?" and it really seems both threads are gone. :-(
