this ultra aggressive brawling Chute Boxe style is a thing of the past

I could put gifs of mayweather overextending reaching and whiffing and it wouldn't take away that he's the most accurate fighter ever. Or arecklesssuddenly he's a reckless brawler. That's a second of a fight.

I could put up a gif of myself getting my beard wet in between the legs Scarlett Johansson but it wouldn't prove much as such gif doesn't exist.

With Almeida getting put down like a dog by a counter puncher only months after Aldo getting put down like a dog by McGregor

it feels like this ultra aggressive Brazilian style of faux muay thai striking is at its end
Aldo: 25-2
Almeida: 21-1

You are a simple minded front runner. Secondly, Aldo's style isn't "ultra aggressive brawling". Just stop it. You're embarrassing yourself.

Aldo rushed in uncharacteristically and got knocked out cold with a counter by a power puncher whilst Almeida got rushed and before he even had a chance to get going he was steamrolled, it happens.
People keep repeating this shit about Aldo "rushing in" and it's just a complete lie. He threw a leaping hook, which is very normal in boxing. Aldo's lead leg was basically in the same location from the time he was set in his stance, to when he was hit with the counter.

Aldo loaded up too much on that punch. That was the real problem.

If you've been watching MMA long enough, you'll know that everything goes in cycles. We have heard "Style x" is a thing of the past, then 5 years later a champ arrives.

Saying Chutebox is ultra aggressive brawling is like saying boxing is ultra aggressive brawling. The reality is that some fighters are making mistakes and getting beat. Their style isn't to blame. Their poor utilisation of the style is.
Couldn't agree more. It's not just MMA, everything works in cycles and balance.

Not right from the bell he doesnt.

Didn't Dan Henderson do this years ago when he kod Wandy right before pride went under

like nick diaz said, sloppy kickboxing "muay thai" guys getting taught lessons in basic boxing

like nick diaz says, muay thai ain't shit when you go up against someone who actually knows boxing

Leg kicks.

Even a mediocre muay thai fighter like cyborg made him suffer with leg kicks. Imagine what someone like Buakaw on his prime would have done to him.

Diaz is a horrible boxer btw.

If you're going to go there then you can pretty much say that about any fighter that flurries as almost every fighter does this at some point.

The point is to show that what Aldo did in the Conor fight wasn't uncharacteristic of him. He even gets caught on the chin in that very same gif.
