Anyone else find this hilarious?

It was on the Sherdog front page.

That's green body paint is awesome! Could a fighter legally wear body paint in an actual fight?

With all the boring generic Reebok uniforms, this would be a nice way to make the fighters more unique.

For those that don’t know or didn’t read, part of this therapy is blood transfusion, which is commonly used as a blood doping technique, where the amount of oxygen in the blood is artificially increased in order to maximize performance...had he said nothing, he’d have gotten away with it because as far as I know you’d have to look at the red blood cell count on a baseline in comparison to the draw...not saying he was doing it to cheat, but cheaters, particularly in endurance sports or while training hard to reach max performance prior to an event, will do it.

“The WADA Prohibited List prohibits the administration or reintroduction of blood or red blood cell products of any origin or quantity in the circulatory system, unless a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption has been obtained,” USADA’s official release wrote. “While Cutelaba was unaware of the violation and declared the treatment on his doping control paperwork, he was unable to refute the documentation provided.”

So, what does this mean?

That paragraph sounds like it means technically if you are a vampire or use vampiric related products, USADA will ban you too.

It sucks, I've been keeping an eye on this guy since this

The therapy he got involves removing blood, treating it, and then reintroducing it to the body. Which can also be done to increase the amount of red blood cells in your body. It's banned as blood doping. Epo gives the same basic effect.

So no substances, other than oxygen, are added to his system and it would have been undetectable if he hadn't self reported? Fuck USADA if he gets any sanction other than a talking to. Seriously.

It could possibly have been detected by the bio passport, but unlikely. They don't check blood samples for oxygen
