I don't even have text service on my phone.

Not a mobile phone? I thought text was a standard feature except for land lines.

Text or email for most things and I'm not great at responding to those. Calls only when necessary or for people I'm close with and/don't talk to often.

Simple question. When a family member or good friend wants to talk which one do you prefer?

Friend or family member wants to talk -call.
I (or someone) need to get specific information, confirm date, time or location- text.
