Hey guys (and girls), my name is Craig Bongelli and I'm a strength coach that specializes in working with fighters. I've worked with some really talented boxers from the amateurs up to world title holders as well as worked with multiple fighters from JacksonWink MMA.

I've seen a lot of interesting and mixed opinions and questions about strength/power training and thought I might be able to help clear up some of the confusion.

I've recently started a video series based on the book I wrote with one of the coaches from JacksonWink MMA which I'll link to below but if you guys have any questions let me know and I'd be more than happy to help!

Here are the first videos, I'll be putting new ones up every week.

Boring videos.

Craig bomnwdici, you are a dime a dozen jack and you suck.

I can make a graph/chart too (and I'm sexier than you).

If you have something interesting like programming strength training for fighters /athletes then talk about it but if all you have is videos of you drawing on a board then piss off.

I've been banging all wrong according to these videos.

This is awesome.

Moar please

This scrub ain't got shit on Naudi Aguilar.

Naudi wasn't born a fucking legend, son. You gotta give this man a chance.

Btw the legend of Eric Brown now trumps Mr.Aguilars.

Second video is quite good as introductory material. Definitely some people who come here who would benefit from it.

In respect of this:

A lot of people here aren't that keen on people dropping in and trying to set themselves up as the new forum guru, especially when that person hasn't participated in the forum before.

You sound pretty accomplished, but what you have presented so far is 101 level. Most of us here are familiar with that stuff and many are reasonably far beyond it. We also have coaches and decent level athletes posting here already. The reason there is disagreement is either because
  1. There are some people who just have very unorthodox views and no amount of S&C coaches and scientific studies will ever change that
  2. There are other people who just decided they don't like the forum (they think that members are elitist, or just obsessed with powerlifting, or something else) and resist everything that they learn here
  3. There are some people who just idolize some figures in the fitness/S&C world and won't hear anything that conflicts with that their idol says
  4. We are just quibbling over small stuff
So I wouldn't be too confident about your ability to 'clear up confusion'.

Anyway, welcome. Looking forward to your series getting into detail.

Why all this disrespect? Nothing constructive, but lets analyze what this guys have to say in the forum:

bushman: http://forums.sherdog.com/search/29252815/

two threads about guns, in one he makes a question adding nothing to the forum, in the other thread he wants to talk about guns in general, nothing constructive.

MandirigmaFit: http://forums.sherdog.com/search/29253071/

Hes a coach who goes with his wife to asia, goes to cambodia to train, yet no one useful post. His opinion in this post is "lol". You are a coach and go to cambodia and your professional perspective about another coach is that you laught about his work.

latflare: http://forums.sherdog.com/search/29253601/

Likes to talk about cocks, dicks and chest hair, nothing that we can benefit again

wufabufa (the fuck you say): http://forums.sherdog.com/search/29253703/

He have three threads, two wondering about the future of professional fighters in a malicious perspective (who will lose the belt?) nothing down to earth or aplicable information. The other post is a question, again no adding value but requesting it.

I'm sorry you didn't like the video bearman... luckily no one will force you to watch any other ;)

I appreciate the insight into the community here. I definitely have no aspirations of becoming the forum guru by any means. I thought about posting this here because this was a forum I read a lot of when I was first getting into training and thought that if there were people like me coming here for information this would be valuable for them.

I hope some of you get some benefit out of the series and I definitely look forward to the feedback, hopefully about more than my level of sexiness LOL

First, I went to Thailand to train with my wife; second, I went to Cambodia to teach a Seminar and finish camp with with one of my fighters; just to clear that up.

I'm actually laughing at the first reply of this thread. I have not watched the videos and to be honest, I looked at his bio and to me it just looked like a bunch of name dropping and while I do admire his passion.. I do not see his mentors as anyone that I would praise in regards to strength training for fighters. However, they are widely respected names.

I am sorry that the first reply derailed the read for the OP and you.

So, I just watched the videos and there is nothing bad about them, also nothing to really take home.

Thanks for the video. I will watch your following videos and I won't be so mean.
