And his excruciating rhymes. The guy had MOMENTS. He was the first great MMA trashtalker in the modern era, sure. He had MOMENTS. He's a pioneer.

But better? Sonnen was usually pretty weak with his trash talk. He had moments. He recited things you knew he memorized in front of the mirror. It was often pedestrian trash talk compared to boxers.

But Conor has a real quick wit and breaks the confidence of the ppl he speaks to. He actually unsettles ppl way better than anyone, while making us laugh.

Hands down, better than Chael.

Except on Sherdog.

I agree with that. Trash talking is better with intelligence and without cursing. That being said, Conor is charismatic and can be funny at times. He knows his style sells and makes it into money.

Im not saying Chael was a horrible fighter. but he didn't really get big till after the first Silva fight...the fight where he got popped for PEDs.

Chael was a much better trash talk by far. But he was a bit of a boring and mediocre fighter.

If he could KO people in the first round like Aldo and KO'd Silva in 13 seconds Chael would be bigger than floyd mayweather.

Conors trash talking isn't really great. It isn't clever or witty. He's just loud, confident, and charismatic and his opponents have usually been completely useless shit talkers. Only one who could talk shit a little, Nate, held his own and even got the better of Conor sometimes in the verbal trash talk.

Well, Chael has the better thought out lines, but Conor is more emotional, and that makes it more real and entertaining.
