So Gina can make 145 but Ronda, Holm and Miesha can't???

Dana White has made plenty of comments pressuring fighters or saying they were ducking fights, or should have taken certain fights.

He's applying no pressure to the girls, nor is the UFC hype machine trying to amp up Cyborg, or recruit competition for her, even tho they pretty much have the GOAT female.

Why don't they sign all these 145rs she's fighting and promote her crushing them ???

And then there's also the fans... everyone was clamoring for GSP vs Silva, Jones to go up in weight, and how Conor's also too big for HW and you don't see that kind of fan pressure on any of the females.

White is a promoter, he's doing his job of being the mouth and face of the organization and promoting the voice of the fans, he will chirp whatever he has to to get ppl interested in a idea or concept or possible future fight. People are not that buzzed about any of the girls fighting Cyborg in general, so he wont be promoting it.

It's hard to amp up a super star that is in a weight division of her own, who's only function will be to completely dismantle the few remaining female UFC superstar utterly...and then quickly be out of competition. The girls divisions are thin as it is...not on talent (only) but on numbers. In 5 years from now maybe that will be a different story, but right now the talent pool for the girls divisions is not very deep, and the gap between top 3 or 5 and top 10 is remarkable.

GSP and Silva had been at the top of their own divisions for ages, both prime and cleared out virtually all competition...they were both champs, they both owned there division for ages and they were regarded as the best of the best, not only in there division but in the world at the time. Cyborg doesn't have that following in the UFC, and fighting a bunch of under weight girls wont give her that.

The UFC isn't going to feed whats left of their top female talent to Cyborg, watch them be murdered and be left with nothing but 1 star with no one to fight...its bad business, and thats why its not happening.

Well I disagree that Gina is bigger than Rhonda, and Holm is a lot taller, longer and bigger than Gina.

I think both RR HH could figh at Cyborg's class.

Of course they can. They can even fight at 155lb .

But can Cyborg fight at 135lb?
If no ... then she bigger than they are and u are asking for them to fight at a size disadvantage.

They can move up if they want to, but they don't need to and shouldn't have to. Fighters should not be expected to move up in weight to please somebody who can't move down. You can say they're ducking all you want, but if you were in their shoes or if you were a pro MMA fighter at all, you'd actually understand why most fighters don't just move up in weight simply because somebody else can't move down or some shit. This isn't boxing, where a weight class is just a couple pounds in difference, MMA weight classes are separated by 10 lbs, and Cyborg would have a huge advantage over everybody moving up from BW to fight her.

Cyborg can make 135, she just needs to put in the work to do it. It will take a good while for her to make 135, but if she can switch up her diet, training, more effective ways of cutting weight without killing herself, having to lose a bit of muscle, etc, it's possible for her to make 135. She won't be able to just cut the weight right now, she needs to make some changes in her life first and it will take awhile. It'd be worth it, too, because then she'd be able to fight whoever the fuck she wants instead of expecting everybody to move up to fight her at 145 and all that. Things aren't going to work out for her if she just sits back and complains about how nobody is willing to move up to fight her.

When a fighter moves up or down in weight, they need to think about if it's even a good career/business move, they don't just move up because they feel like it, that's very rare in MMA. Most fighters will move up or down because either the weight cut is too difficult, or their opponents are simply too large or they're just not having success at what ever weight class they're in. What Conor McGregor is doing is very, very rare in this sport, just because he's willing to move up and fight literally anybody, doesn't mean everybody should be expected to do it.

It's easy for you to sit there and say all that garbage about everybody ducking Cyborg, but you don't fight for a living. This is their way of making a living, this is their career - you can't just expect them to move up in weight simply because somebody else can't move down and because you think bawling your fucking face off about it and being all "lolz he/she is ducking!!" and all that. The fact so many people just can't understand things like this is fucking incredible to me. If you were a fighter, you wouldn't just jump up in weight, either, and don't say you would because that's a fucking lie.

If you (or anybody here) was a very well known fighter in the UFC, whether you just be a top guy/former champion and such, you wouldn't just jump up in weight without putting any actual thought into it. Moving up in weight in MMA is a whole different thing than it is in boxing. You need to make the proper career/business choices.

For real, how many times have we seen somebody move up in weight to fight somebody bigger and they (the fighter who moved up) got fucking demolished? Look at Murilo's fight against Kharitonov, moving up in weight can be very fucking bad for your career and your health, it takes time to make that decision. Not everybody is Conor McGregor, people, not everybody will move up and fight basically everybody, that shit is fucking rare in this sport.

Use your fucking heads. There's no excuse for this kind of stupidity. The fact so many people can't understand things like this (why so many fighters "duck" larger opponents or whatever your dumbass wants to call it) is just amazing, the fact so many MMA fans are THIS dumb is amazing, it truly is.

Nope.

no tits flat as fuck

Cyborg used roofs and changed her weight class. This is all her fault, not anyone else's.

It's on Cris to make weight if she wants to fight 135ers, not the other way around.

Now is she really that much bigger than Holly or Rousey? No, they clearly cut a lot to make 135, but weight classes are weight classes.

I would lo to see some top fighters take her on at catch weight, but why would they? She's terrifying and beats the piss out of people.

Of course I don't literally believe it but it is what she literally said and you don't see any other sport where it's ok for the athletes to threaten to kill their fans with no repercussions from their management and Im not even a Rhonda hater but comments like those make it hard to defend her.

Hopefully the new management will come w better policies for conduct like the NFL so the sport expands.

People calling her fatty or fat online, are not her fans.

I don't think they care to keep their stars big or they would not have set-up McG vs Diaz or Hunt vs Bork or JBJ vs Cormier.
Or PVZ vs that one girl

Although they do seem to be keeping Sage safe.

So she's going to kill ppl that call her fat in person ?

Very professional remark from a fighter who prolly could kill 99% of Sherdog.

Ronda uses the weight as an excuse. If she really wanted that fight she would meet Cyborg in the middle at 140.

If there was more to gain than lose for Ronda in fighting an obscure (to the mainstream revenue source) but extremely dangerous opponent at a weight outside her division, then I'm pretty sure that Dana would have proposed the fight, and Rousey would have signed.

This is a much less obvious duck than the one they just found Nunes with.

I think they generally underrated Diaz...and he was a 10 day replacement.

Hunt was easily the best case scenario for Brock, at the very least Hunt (though i love him) was the most available 1 dimensional fighter they had with a name.

JBJ had cleared out the division, and they didn't want him to wait around to fights Gus again.

PVZ and Sage are hopefuls, and they truly do abuse there hopefuls...giving them there big boy/girl pants for tv and ratings long before they should be in there with some of those ppl.

Lmao!
Come on bro, shes a cage fighter speaking hyberbole.
But you may be right on the latter point.

Gina's record at making 135 was roughly on par with Rumble's record of making 170. She failed repeatedly and was hospitalized at least once.
