Showtime Boxing: #MayMac will probably not happen. UFC just wanted the publicity

You guys need to learn how to read between the lines.
Whats actually happening here is Mayweather wants this fight ASAP. With every month that passes by, McGregor has a bigger chance of winning as he's getting better at being a pure boxer, and at the same time Mayweather is aging in his 40's. Mayweather is close with Showtime. Showtime knows damn well that "interest will die" is definitely not true. Mayweather Pac took forever to happen and they were the biggest PPV in history. If anything there's going to be more interest. It's just a ploy on Mayweathers part to get this fight sooner, by putting all the blame on the UFC.

They also tried this shit when Mayweathers team was saying how the UFC is only trying to give 20%. Putting this shit out in the public makes the UFC look bad so it make's it seem its all up to the UFC to get this fight on.

The sad state of the UFC. Has to ride on other sports to get attention.

The UFC need to stop being a bottom feeder and put together a real card for once.

It is 2017
Anybody that still thinks AC disclosed pay is what fighters earn are insane.

UFC paid about $80 million to fighters in 2015 ... please compare that to AC pay
Between Conor and Brock alone 12 mil or about 18% is accounted for. Between 2 fighters alone.

Regardless of whether the Mayweather fight happens or not, Conor has been hearing some pretty big numbers being thrown about. Dana is going to having to dig deep into those pockets to get him back in the Octagon.

I've ben saying for awhile now that next it will be Conor defending against Nate for the trilogy. Regardless of who deserves the title shot its the biggest fight the UFC has right now in terms of drawing revenue.

Brock did not fight in 2015.
You really are clueless about this.

Keep thinking AC pay is accurate if you want. That doesn't change the fact that it makes you seem insane.

This was updated right after lobov vs Swanson.

It doesn't have PPV cut. I don't like talking PPV cuts because no one can give an accurate number. Some media outlets said 5 mil others says 15. That's too big a difference. But this is the disclosed amount of money the UFC has given Conor.

Puts him right under 10 mil total.
Cool man, so you are just going to ignore the biggest part of his income the ppv cut which in his last 4 fights is at least 8-10 million dollars each fight?
There is numerous outlets that say he made between 12-15 million in the nate rematch but you're going to say he made not even 10 million in his whole career ? I don't get How that can even seem legit to you ?

We all knew this stupid Floyd/irish jabroni boxing match is just a publicity stunt. Regardless of the bad image mma and the UFC will get if McG gets beat up by Floyd uncle dana and WME is scared that irish jabroni will retire after that along with the money he can draw.

NOT counting his outside of the cage sponsors the largest check Conor EVER got from the UFC was 3 mil and they was for Nate vs Conor 2.

Saying he only makes 1-2 mil a fight from the UFC is a very realistic number.
The UFC hasn't even paid Conor a total of 7 mil yet.

Keep in mind I'm not talking about his other avenues of income just what the UFC pays/paid him.
At UFC 202 McGregor was believed to have earned $15 million overall and with this being such a landmark event he can expect even more this time.

How much will he earn?

The purse for the Diaz fight was $3 million so we can expect a bit of an increase on that for this fight with around $5 million the rumoured figure.

Along with that money he will get the Sponsorship from Reebok which last time came in at $250,000.

If he can manage to win the fight he will more than likely get a win bonus and depending on the nature of the fight he could be awarded a fight of the night bonus on top of that.

Conor McGregor says there is 'big things coming' after Saturday's fight with Eddie Alvarez

However the biggest money maker for McGregor will be from the Pay per view figures. Against Diaz he got $11.5 million worth of PPV.

Considering the magnitude of this event, the PPV record will likely be smashed and McGregor could earn $15 million alone from the buys.

All in all you are looking at $15 million at the very least for the Irish man but all going well he should pass the $20 million mark.

That would translate to about €18 million

Mayweather Pac took forever to happen and they were the biggest PPV in history

No shit, May/Pac were the two best boxers of our generation while Conor is an irish bum cagefighter. This fight is a joke like frankienyc's av.

Floyd does not want anything to do with Conor. Only reason he set this whole rumor up was to keep himself relevant. And it worked.

Do you not realise his is a estimated amount? People really need to learn how it works.

$50 a buy and Dana said it did 1.5 million.
50% goes to the cable company or ppv company. Meaning it's $25 1.5 million buys which = 37.5 million.

Do you really think the UFC gives Conor close to 50% of that?

The only PPV buy contracts that have been released are all $1-2 after a certain amount of buys.

Conor didn't make 15 million + in PPV buys as that would say he's getting $10 a buy from the 1st sold PPV which is unheard of in MMA.

Math is off
a 1.5m buy is at least $45-50m for UFC on PPV alone, plus another $10m from gate
So Conor getting $10-15m is very reasonable considering UFC paid 13% in salary to fighters in 2015

Actually it is $ 3-5 per buy after a certain amount and I know it is an estimated amount but 8-10 million is a very common number mentioned on conor's high selling ppv's and how many times have you heard conor made aroun12-15 million for the diaz rematch ? It has to be close and if it is considering his fight purse was only 3 million I believe that means he made roughly 8-10 million on the back half after his fight purse. This all started with someone saying conor only makes 1-2 million per fight which is crazy for me to even think someone actually believes that

Connor can train for the next 5 years, he wouldn't beat Floyd in a boxing match when Floyd is 45.
