Sean Strickland: Israel Adesanya title fight ‘100 percent should be in the cards’ with win over Abus

Strickland will continue to struggle against the very top of the division, I believe. I don't see him having a lot to offer against Adesanya. Move forward, get countered, repeat.

Strickland / Costa should fight for the next title shot after Izzy fights Whittaker

I thought I saw Strickland playing the guitar outside a liquor store so I went up and was about to take a selfie and the Strickland lookalike stabbed me in the back with a used rig. Credit where it’s due the guy could play the shit out of that guitar.

Should pour some rubbing alcohol on that sir, shit could get infected lol.

Watching Izzy absolutely starch Strickland would be entertaining. I think Strickland gets finished late in that one.

I couldn't bare to watch those guys fight eachother both of them like throwing a jab every now and then to win fights

Against Perreira, Adesanya had to take risks and it paid big in the end. Against Strickland, he would have to just play his circling counter-game to outpoint him handily. Think of Izzy what you will, but that man has solid fight IQ and will not take chances when not needed. It would be a snoozefest. Much rather see him against Rob for the third time.

That fight would probably be the most boring Izzy win imaginable, but it'd be funny listening to Strickland wind him up at the pressers

He should probably have to beat 1-2 in the top 5 before he starts thinking about a title shot. His best win is Hermansson who was a bit overrated and never really top notch. Strickland is the type of fighter who is a good test for most and can reach lower end of top 10, but will be forgotten quickly as he doesn't have any signature wins, is boring as hell to watch, and is simply just decent at everything but a master of nothing.

Nah fuck it let ‘em fester. That’s my motto. I appreciate the concern. Why are you up so early? Or do you live on the east coast?

I live on the East coast but I only sleep 4-5 hours a night sir.

No Strickland will just get koed like with Peireira. Dude tried to rush a kickboxing champ like a dumbass.

I had him up against Cannonier and even if you didn't you can't really say it wasn't close. Imavov is underrated and should be worth alot. Albus had a solid debut, but he's only 1-0 in the UFC and strangely only 3 fights since 2019. I would say he just needs one more win after Albus for a shot. MW is kind of empty after Izzy cleaned it out.

Nobody seems able to "Force" Strickland to fight.

I mean he goes in the cage and has a performance,,, and usually wins,,,, But he is rarely pushed, rarely in deep water even in decisions, and rarely doing anything he doesn't want to be doing in the cage...

He has to be credited for being able to control things, but I want to see the SOB fighting for his life...

Nope. He is 1-2. Needs to have a win against Whitaker to solidfy a title shot with that record. At the very very least a win against Costa or Marvin.

Strickland haz teh personality to be a big star. If he just gets some key wins so that teh casualz will flock to him, he could be our new Sherdog certified hypetrain. I'm rooting for him.
