Remember when Rogan used to proclaim Rory the Future of MMA, The next-level new generation, more potential than GSP, the future GOAT due to his having trained all MMA disciplines from the start of his combat sports training?

It seemed to make sense, but I saw a problem early on. To be GOAT level, you have to be amazing in at least one area--not just good and well-rounded everywhere like Rory. Even though he had no wrestling background, GSP became an elite MMA wrestler, beating at least 4 Div 1 NCAA wrestlers (who were also very good MMA fighters). Before his ACL injuries, he had explosiveness in his TDs, top control and incredible transitions that Rory's never had.

Rory's wrestling is good enough to (barely) beat Lima, but not good enough to beat prime Lawler and Wonderboy. And his striking isn't good enough to beat the best WW strikers either.

I'd like to break the nose of his idiot manager who greenlighted him to fight Mousasi. He should take care of his fucking fighter.

Yep, stupid career move for Rory and stupid for Bellator to do that to their WW champ.
