You are really forgetting about those Laker teams that missed the playoffs. Steph is more valuable because he opens up the defense for his teamates. Steph started all the three point shooting when people realized that it forces the game to open up.

Imagine Kobe playing in this more open era where all he has to do is beat one defender. His efficiency ratings would skyrocket. And he also played elite level, lock you down defense. He's also mentally and physically as tough as they come. Steph would be a liability on D in many situations and he's shown that being physical with him throws him off his game. Missing shots seems to have a deflating effect on his confidence as well...shoulders drop, head drops, mouth guard hangs out.

Steph truly is an all time great tho. More so than he seems to get credit for at the moment. And given the right system I would definitely take Steph over Kobe, Lebron, MJ, whoever. When it's all said and done Steph will be a top 15-20 all time player at least.
