(OPINION) Francis Ngannou owes the UFC and Dana white for his successes.

Without the platform that is the UFC; Francis would never make it

Francis Ngannou needs to eat some humble pie, he’s acting like he did everything on his own without anyone helping him.

If Francis started out in boxing or if he was in bellator or PFL instead of the UFC, he’d go nowhere.

He got the Tyson fight because he was the “UFC Champion” not because he was a champion of another organization.

Did Francis gain his success by winning and performing? Absolutely. But he did not do it himself, he did it with the UFC’s promotion and name value. Instead of trashing Dana White and the UFC, he should show some class and thank them for the opportunity.

I hope Francis doesn’t become a diva, and remember that he didn’t do it all himself. UFC made him famous.
Did the UFC hand him the belt or did HE earn it ? Go back to sleep

So Dana doesn't do anything either then.

Remind me again why Francis should be thanking him?

Dana literally did everything for like 10 years to build and create the UFC. He also does way more than just media speeches. He actually got the UFC back during COVID which is no small feat.

Read a promotional contract, it’s more than just promising a fighter, they’ll speak awesome things about them.

Reality Check : The biggest loser on Saturday was Dana & UFC's negotiators.

It was just 5 years ago they co-promoted Mayweather VS McGregor, and it was a huge success for all parties involved. Although Conor lost he was a bigger PPV star than he was before.

There's never been a rational explanation why they wouldn't do the same for Francis boxing Fury. Francis wasn't a huge PPV star? Well he is now, and its their error for not seeing the mountain of gold they had under contract, thinking it was a mere pile of copper.

As for your assertion 'Francis owes Dana/UFC for his popularity.' Kindly fuck off. Dana & the UFC pay the fighters like 12% of revenue, if that.

They don't own the fighters they have under contract, and the fighters that leave don't owe shit to them.

Francis has always had a punching-heavy style. If MMA wasn't the best route to take he'd have become a boxer and probably have become much richer just not as quickly. Boxers have to have very long undefeated records to get noticed and eventually popular enough for title shots to be marketable.

Dana White didn't create the UFC. Stop this nonsense man.

Can we agree he can be thankful he had the opportunity? Grateful that he was the champion? And being that champion he just made probably $15 million?

If Ngannou never fought in the UFC, I doubt we would have just watched him kick Tyson Fury's ass.

Terrible decision BTW
