This is one of the most simple and effective back takes you can use, if people are crying about you using it maybe they should pack their shit up and get a new hobby.
It's effective because the feet are behind them, so you go to the side.
But I will concede going to the side is about effectiveness, not knee / ankle safety.
Ive seen a leg get broken doing this move. I have had my own ankles fucked up doing it too. If someone jerks me back in practice in this, it goes from friendly roll to competition roll. Just like a flying armbar. You want to throw stuff like this, completely fine by me, but be ready to go tit for tat.
