Fun fact: the way Frazier fights in the picture above is exactly what the Philly Shell is supposed to look like. It has nothing to do with the style used by fighters who don’t come from Philadelphia like Floyd Mayweather Sr., Floyd Mayweather Jr. and James Toney.
The confusion comes from the video game EA Sports Fight Night that labelled Floyd’s style incorrectly (without ever asking Floyd himself).
